Denton County Hamburger in Denton

Got a cheeseburger meal with beans and fries. Unsalted no seasoning fries which were made fresh and hot. The beans tasted.... suspicious is all I'll say. The burger was fine, but the bun was cold and the meat was cold. The veggies were cold so that's good but if you're gonna not melt the shredded cheddar over the meat, at least make the meat and bread hot enough to do so on its own. Cool vibe, cool stuff. Was gonna give 3 stars and another go but at 27 dollars for two meals ehhhhh. Bottom line, if you're gonna keep your burgers premade in a hot hold thats fine, but make sure and actually throw them back on the grill before serving so its hot again mannnn.

Good fries, all you can eat. Burgers are ok. Cooked too much in my opinion. Very nice people.

I love this place. Best burger in town. The very best beans I've ever had.

I have heard locals rave about this place, so I had high hopes going in. However, I found my cheeseburger to be completely underwhelming. The meat was dry and the cheese consisted of a handful of shredded cheddar piled on top of the meat. It wasn't terrible, but I don't understand the hype. Maybe I just went on a bad day.

This seems to be a family run restaurant. My friend and I will probably return, and I will probably get something different. The hickory burger had too much hickory for my tastes. The staff are very friendly and explained all of our questions. They seem to have quite a few loyal customers since they knew what they would be ordering, which was quite encouraging.

Shame ..the burger was old..and nasty..fries cold..had better prison food won't be back..1/4 pounder McDonald's fries better...

Definitely recommend it. Hands down best burgers my taste buds have had the opportunity to enjoy ever. Left the place with a huge smile and feeling of happiness to my tummy ☺.

This place is the greatest! It represents the old Denton that I love combined with the new spirit of Denton. Great freaking burgers, just like they have had since I was a kid.

Wasn't expecting much when I came here but it turned out pretty good. Fries were made fresh with free refills, burgers were good, I'd probably come back here some time.

Best chili burger on the planet! Big enough for two people to share and that's just a single meat burger.the double is today's and tomorrow's lunch. Great homemade chili and huge portions. Great food friendly staff and excellent value

Been through the drive thru twice. Food was ok. The first time they forgot my drink. The second time they forgot to give me ketchup, silverware, and napkins. I’ll probably go somewhere else for burgers.

I love the way they cram shredded cheese onto their burgers! Seasonings and hot sauces for your fries, burgers, and beans are a great touch. I don't know how I went so long without coming here, but I'm a fan for life now

This is the best burger place I've been to in North Texas! The service was great and the music was great. Reminds me of when I would go dancing. Country music and burgers. That's all you need here. Also they have all you can eat beans and fries. Their homemade food is amazing! If you know me I love burgers! They do have a veggie option menu but once you walk in you get hit in the face with the smell of meat cooking and it's delicious. So vegetarians go through the drive through hahaI can't wait to being my husband next time. Carnivors here!

If you're looking for a plate-filling mountain of shredded cheese and BBQ sauce with a burger somewhere underneath then there is nothing like the Hickory Burger. Cooked right in front of you, fresh burgers at a great price and simple extras if you want them. There was no wait on Friday at noon, quick local place a big step above fast food.

It was a good tasting burger, but it was cold. The fries were fresh and hot and delicious.

We were almost denied service because our 4 yo wasn’t wearing a mask, all the while an employee or employee friend (he was walking behind the counter and then throughout the restaurant), was walking without wearing a mask. Hypocrisy at is best 😆Also there was a 11/12 yo boy ahead of of with a mask on his neck, no problem he wasn’t asked to cover his face with it.

Not the best places to get hamburgers in Denton. The hamburger tasted nasty as if was made 2 weeks ago and the cheese on my hamburger was cold. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone wanting a good hamburger.

Denton Independent has great food and a fun local diner vibe :)

Had a great cheeseburger today at Denton Independent Hamburger. Wow, it was even better than I remember. Do yourself a favor and go there soon. You won't regret it!

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Denton, my friends and I are college students to the financial stability to eat out is rare, but we come here as often as we can. The food is hands down amazing and always fresh, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is incredible. I highly highly recommend

The burger was awesome! It reminded me of something you'd get from a rural small town hole in the wall- it looks that way too! One of the best burgers in Denton. I ordered just a regular cheese burger, and I would have gotten fries but it was $6 more just to add those to my order. The single dollar sign on Google is not representative of the prices of the menus. Just my order alone was $6.25 w/o tax , and remember to add fries it's $6 more. If I had more money, I'd come here again, though!

Best hamburgers in Denton. I have been eating them since the 80’s and they are still the best. Under new ownership and the quality has probably improved. Stop in every time I am back home.

Wasn’t a good day we ordered fries and old fashion burgers, burger wasn’t as ordered and fries hard . We go twice a week but I refuse to drive from southridge to north side for bad food. Than when I called them no answer 😡 I’m done with them, worse burger in town 😡

First time to the place since new ownership. Great beans and fries. My burger was a little dry but still good. Wish they cooked to order instead of attempting speed of cooking through fast service style Restaurant. Cook to order would be a better choice and make those burgers fresh instead of sitting in a warmer.

First timer here lol. Ordered the chicken fried steak and fried before realizing EVERYONE ELSE was eating chilli burgers. But the chic rrt n fried was great. Nice breading meatcd 9i ne th o perfection. Mild gravy.. I'll be back to try g bth e chiki for sure err vin th hou it's a hour away lol
